Wedding Testimonial October 4, 2020
Misty Nance - Wedding Planner & Bride
We hired Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band for our wedding in October 2020. We Could not have been more pleased with this decision. They were entertaining, professional, on time, and sounded terrific. We planned on them to perform acoustic for our first dance, the father-daughter dance, and a song where I could dance with my stepson. “Tangled Up In You" by Aaron Lewis was our first dance. For the father-daughter dance, we chose “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns N’ Roses. The band completely transformed this into a nice acoustic slow song upon my request. “Humble & Kind" by Tim McGraw was performed for the dance with my stepson. They NAILED every single tune. This is not “just a blues band”, this is a professional unit that can play anything. In addition to that, the groom's mother decided she wanted a dance and without missing a beat they performed “Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. These guys went above and beyond what we asked for and expected. They completely took any worry and hassle out of the entertainment on our special day so we could just focus on getting married. For the rest of the reception they entertained our guests with a great mix of upbeat blues, beach, funk and classic rock tunes that kept the dance floor packed. If you want a talented, professional and experienced group for your wedding or event then I highly recommend that you look no further than these guys
Cox’s Harley Davidson
Event & Promotions Manager
We’ve hired Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band for several major events we have had at Cox’s Harley Davidson. They are an energetic group that is always a crowd favorite. They have a professional attitude, equipment, appearance & promptness that makes them so easy to work with. They play a great mix of songs with they’re signature bluesy edge that always leaves you wanting more. We plan on using them for events in the future & would encourage anyone wanting a high quality, entertaining, & professional band to do the same.
Bryan School of Business
University of North Carolina Greensboro
I hired Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band for an event that I was on the board of “40 under 40”. It was 40 prominent business people in the community under 40 years of age who had the chance to mingle, share ideas, & network. It was important for the first half of the event for there to be a lower volume atmosphere type music so people could mingle. Cory played acoustic guitar while Link added just the right amount of sax flavor. It was perfect. For the second half of the event we wanted a band that would get the crowd on the dance floor and wow did these guys deliver. Blues, classic rock, dance tunes & even beach music. The crowd was singing along & we all had a great time. These guys loaded in and out with no hassle and they “looked the part” of a professional band. It was important for us to have entertainment that could handle different dynamics and appeal to a large crowd. Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band is the right band to fit that bill. I would recommend them for any private or corporate event.
Town of Ramsuer
We have a summer music series where we bring in local & regional bands to play for the
community. It’s important to us that the entertainment is family friendly & not too loud. We hired Cory Luetjen & The Traveling Blues Band during the summer of 2019. They were terrific. We had people coming out of the woodwork with lawn chairs to set up and listen to this fantastic band. The sound was great. The music selection was enjoyed by everyone & that saxophone!!! We have already hired them back for our fall festival in October of 2020. I Highly recommend this group.

The Traveling Blues Band is not only the hardest working Blues Band in Southeast land, they've been a major contributing recording and performance group in Beach Music for over three years. Cory Luetjen's guitar is the perfect pairing for his many self-penned songs. The Traveling Blues Band was immediately accepted by the Beach Music and Shag community -- they're here to stay. Not only do his many songs play on our 50+ radio station network, they're a perfect contrast on our Carolina Shag program on Sirius XM nationally every weekend. We look forward eagerly to his coming releases.
